The 20-second habit

It reads the whole receipt — every single line

Not just the total. Every item, every price, the tax, the date, the store — captured and filed the moment you scan. The math even gets double-checked, so when CostPilot says $86.12, you can trust it.

  • Auto-captures when the receipt is sharp — no button to press
  • Crumpled, faded, gas-station receipts? It handles those too
  • Anything it's unsure about gets flagged, never guessed

Price intelligence

Find out which store is quietly overcharging you

Because CostPilot sees every line item, it notices what nobody has time to track: the same gallon of milk costs 60¢ more across town. It compares the stores you already shop at and tells you the verdict in dollars.

  • Works on groceries, gas, materials — anything you buy twice
  • Smart matching knows “GV WHL MILK” is whole milk
  • A daily insight card surfaces the biggest saving it found

Budgets & reminders

Plain English, before it's too late

No pie charts to decode. CostPilot tells you where you stand the way a friend would: “On pace — about $34 under.” And if you forget to scan, a gentle evening nudge keeps the streak alive.

  • Budget alerts before the money's gone, not after
  • Scan streaks that make the habit weirdly satisfying
  • A monthly email that sums up where it all went

CostPilot is built by a working contractor who got tired of finding six-month-old receipts under the truck seat at tax time. It exists to make the scan faster than the shoebox.

The iPhone app opens straight into the scanner

Built around one habit: scan the receipt before it hits the truck floor. Auto-capture, evening reminders, and store-exit nudges that fire right as you walk out the door.

Coming to the App Store — currently in TestFlight

Fair questions

How accurate is the scanning?

Very — and honest about it. The math is cross-checked (subtotal + tax must equal the total), and anything uncertain is flagged for a quick look instead of silently guessed.

What does it cost?

Free while we're in early access. Paid plans with team features are coming; early users will get grandfathered treatment worth having.

Is my data safe?

Your receipts live in an isolated, access-controlled database — one workspace can never see another's. We don't sell data, full stop. Details in the privacy policy.

Can I get my data out?

Always. One click exports CSV, QuickBooks-ready CSV, or PDF. It's your data — the exit door stays unlocked.

The next receipt you get,
point your camera at it.
